Tamrin has a background in architecture and holds an MA in Sustainable Heritage Management from the University of Liverpool. She brings international experience in youth leadership and non-formal education, with a strong focus on historic cities, their intangible cultural elements, and urban regeneration.
She has worked on programmes across Asia and Africa supporting girls’ empowerment and leadership outside of formal education, and has also led community development initiatives in Bangladesh, where she received a national award from the UN for her contributions. Tamrin is passionate about engaging young people in shaping the places they live and brings a deep interest in cross-cultural dialogue and sustainable living.
She joined PLACED to connect her academic knowledge with her commitment to youth empowerment, promoting intergenerational understanding and inclusive approaches to the built environment.
