Teacher workshops
PLACED delivers workshops for teachers, giving them ideas and resources to enable the built environment to be embedded within their teaching. Workshops are hands on, and include demonstrations of our pupil workshops supported by group work on how you can use, develop and expand activities.
Sessions can be delivered for teachers from across a number of schools as part of a training day or for teachers from a single school that are looking to develop a cross curricular project. Workshops have been used to support the development of cross curricular working, to develop ideas for new intakes of students and to encourage creative thinking about subject delivery.
Workshops enable teachers to adapt and deliver activities for a range of age groups as part of their core teaching, a sustainable and accessible way for schools to start to incorporate architecture and the built environment.
PLACED also delivers workshops for trainee teachers, encouraging them to think about how they can best use the built environment, a fantastic free resource, in their new career.
