PLACED delivers activities that give young people an opportunity to learn about the towns and cities in which they live, why design is important, and an understanding of how places are created.
PLACED delivers a range of activities including pupil and teacher workshops in school, partnerships with universities and tailor made programmes of outreach activity.
Our exciting hands on workshops develop a wide range of skills, from presentation to team working, building confidence and raising aspirations.
Activities have clear links across the curriculum and are appropriate for a wide range of age groups, abilities and skills.
PLACED activities are delivered by PLACED Ambassadors including architects, urban designers, engineers and planners, supported by university students, providing an opportunity to gain an understanding of careers and access routes into related professions.
PLACED is giving schools the opportunity to get involved in the national Love Architecture Festival this June in partnership with Once Park West, the iconic mixed used apartment building on Liverpool’s waterfront. Places strictly limited!
What is the impact of PLACED? We have received extremely positive feedback from both our in school workshops and also our summer schools, and some of the highlights can be found here. But what is the impact longer term? We ask two people who participated in activities and feel they made a real difference to the direction they took at university.
